1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the services offered by Pilladev Psychotherapy & Consultancy ("we," "our," or "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.

2. Description of Services

Pilladev Psychotherapy & Consultancy provides mental health services including but not limited to:

  • One on One Counseling & Psychotherapy
  • School Mentorship Program
  • Pre & Post Marital Therapy
  • Play and Art Therapy
  • Corporate Mental Health Advocacy
  • Motivational Talks
  • Community Empowerment

2.1 Not Emergency Services

Our services are not intended for emergencies. If you are in immediate danger, experiencing a medical emergency, or feel you may harm yourself or someone else, call Kenya emergency services at 999 or 112, or go to the nearest hospital or police station.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to enter into this agreement and use our services independently. Clients under 18 years may only use the services with verified parental or guardian consent, except where permitted by applicable law.

4. Appointments and Cancellations

4.1 Scheduling

Appointments can be scheduled through our website, by phone, or by email. All appointments are subject to availability and confirmation.

4.2 Cancellation Policy

If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please provide at least 24 hours' notice. Late cancellations or no-shows may result in a cancellation fee equivalent to the full session fee, subject to our discretion.

5. Fees and Payment

Our fees for services are available upon request and may change from time to time. Payment is expected at the time of service unless other arrangements have been made in advance. We accept various payment methods as specified during the booking process.

6. Confidentiality

We maintain strict confidentiality in accordance with professional ethics and applicable laws. However, there are limitations to confidentiality, including:

  • Risk of harm to yourself or others
  • Suspicion of abuse or neglect of a child, elderly person, or dependent adult
  • Legal requirements, such as court orders
  • Insurance billing requirements (if applicable)
  • Consultation with other professionals (without identifying information)

7. Online Services and Communications

If we provide services remotely (e.g., phone or online), you agree to use a private and safe location where possible. While we take reasonable steps to protect confidentiality, you understand that no online communication method is completely risk-free.

8. Your Responsibilities

You agree to provide accurate and up-to-date information, attend sessions on time, and communicate promptly if you need to reschedule. You also agree not to use our website or services in any way that could interfere with security, privacy, or normal operations.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Pilladev Psychotherapy & Consultancy shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate services at our discretion, particularly in cases where we believe we cannot provide the appropriate level of care or when there is a breach of these terms. Similarly, you may terminate services at any time.

11. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms of Service at any time. Any changes will be posted on our website, and your continued use of our services after such modifications shall constitute your acknowledgment and acceptance of the modified terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Kenya, including the Data Protection Act, 2019, without regard to conflict of law principles.
